Capabilities
- Critical Incident Stress Debriefng (CISD) is one
part of an integrated management approach to Acute Traumatic, or Critical
Incident, Stress. It is a group meeting or discussion employing both
crisis intervention and educational processes targeted toward mitigating
or resolving the psychological distress associated with a critical
incident or traumatic event

- Peer managed and peer driven with Mental Health oversight and
guidance.
- Mitigate impact and Accelerate recovery
- Relief of stress in normal, emotionally healthy people through
emotional ventilation and correction of perceptions.
- Education
- About stress reactions and management.
- Provide Support and Remove Stigmata
- By being in a group of their peers, attendees are reassured that
their reactions are normal and not unique to themselves.
They also draw strength from the group process.
- Assessment
- There is a positive, non-threatening contact with mental health
which allows for screening for people in need of additional therapy
and smoothing that transition in the minority of people that may
require it.
